Teeth whitening

Through safe and the most popular aesthetic treatments, we ensure a natural appearance, increase self-confidence and guarantee a healthy smile.
Teeth whitening is one of the most popular dental procedures, and it involves removing various stains and discolorations from the surface of the teeth, and thus the color of the teeth becomes lighter. Tooth discoloration occurs due to the effects of endogenous (deposition of chromogenic material in the dentin and enamel surface) and exogenous (occurring on the surface of the tooth) factors. Teeth whitening is an intervention that provides immediate results, and can be performed in a single visit to the office or at home. This is a very popular procedure, because you can get a beautiful smile without any inconvenience and at an affordable price.
Preparing for teeth whitening
In order to obtain satisfactory results, it is necessary to prepare the patient for the teeth whitening procedure after a determined treatment plan, which includes:
- Remediation of all carious lesions
- Treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis
- Removal of soft and hard deposits from the teeth
- Registering tooth color before starting therapy
Choosing a teeth whitening technique
Depending on whether we are treating vital or non-vital teeth, we choose the appropriate technique. Whitening of vital teeth is possible in the office and at home, while whitening of non-vital teeth is carried out exclusively in the office. The duration of the achieved results depends solely on the patient. Frequent consumption of colored food and drinks, as well as smoking, is not recommended, and oral hygiene should be enhanced.
Office teeth whitening
The teeth whitening treatment takes about an hour and is achieved by applying 40% hydrogen peroxide to the surface of the teeth and using an LED lamp to speed up the process. The procedure consists of applying a protective mask around the gums, two or three applications of hydrogen peroxide, and applying a fluoride gel to protect the teeth after the treatment. Results will be visible immediately, but will gradually develop over the next 10 to 14 days.
At-home teeth whitening
Home whitening involves the application of hydrogen or carbamide peroxide in lower concentrations, using trays that are made in dental technology based on a previously taken impression of the teeth.
When handing over the splint to the patient, the dentist gives instructions for using the splint and teeth whitening gel. The procedure lasts 7 to 10 days. The patient wears the splint at night.
